The Clockmaker’s Daughter
by Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn

Every town has its secrets. But in the village of Spindlewood, the gears of time hide a beautiful, dangerous truth.

Prepare to be swept away by an unforgettable theatrical experience as Bremerton Community Theater proudly presents The Clockmaker’s Daughter! Written by the brilliant musical theater duo Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn, this soaring, critically acclaimed folk musical is a breathtaking story of love, belonging, and the costs of fitting into a world that fears what it doesn't understand.

In the fictional Irish town of Spindlewood, the eccentric and grieving Clockmaker builds something extraordinary: an intricate, lifelike clockwork girl named Constance. To the town's surprise, Constance miraculously comes to life. But in a superstitious village governed by fear and strict traditions, a living machine is a dangerous secret. As Constance attempts to find her place in the human world, a blooming romance and a ticking deadline force a dramatic confrontation between the townspeople and the creation they fear.

With a stunning, sweeping score that blends traditional Celtic folk melodies with epic, contemporary musical theater showstoppers, The Clockmaker’s Daughter is a feast for the ears and the soul. It is a deeply moving original myth that carries the timeless charm of Beauty and the Beast paired with the emotional depth of Les Misérables.

Runtime: Approximately 2½ hours including a 15-minute intermission.

Content Advisory: The Clockmaker’s Daughter is a beautifully moving, original folk myth. While it shares the magical tone of classic fairy tales, it explores mature themes including intense grief, community prejudice against outsiders, and a bittersweet, emotionally heavy conclusion. This production features loud, sudden gunshot sound effects during a climactic moment in the second act.
